Post Grade 8 Performance Diplomas now available for
Electric Guitarists
July 2009
RGT has launched a range of electric guitar Performance Diplomas specifically for rock, pop and blues guitarists, giving electric guitarists the structure by which to develop performance skills and techniques to a truly professional level.
Studying for the Diplomas provides a great motivational tool for you to develop your playing to your full potential. The Performance Diplomas are designed to provide a structured programme that will take guitarists’ playing skills from Grade 8 standard to that of a top-level performer or session musician. Four Diploma levels are available: DipLCM, ALCM, LLCM and FLCM (equivalent to Masters Degree on the National Qualification Framework). Passing each Diploma legally entitles you to append the appropriate letters to your name. As with all RGT exams, these Diplomas are organised in association with London College of Music Exams and are regulated by Ofqual and fully accredited by the University of West London.
Exam Content
The exams focus entirely on the skills needed by electric guitarists in the fields of rock, blues and popular music. The exam content includes technique studies, rhythm and lead playing (including performances of classic tracks by guitarists such as David Gilmour, Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, Gary Moore and Peter Green).
